Greetings to the people who provided our village this well: There a lot of people in our village. Before this new well was installed, there was an old handpump which was often broken forcing us to use the river water. This was very difficult for the school children. People were getting sick often with stomach problems and an increase in serious infections. It is now so much better to have a pump for the community and for the school. There are many children attending this school and they will be healthier and learn better now. The well is located on the school compound so it is watched by the school guard. There is also a care taker responsible for its safety and proper usage. For any problems with the well we will contact the Lifewater team by phone or go to the main office in Morne Rouge by the radio station. The main source of income is mostly agronomy or selling and cultivating vegetables at the market. We want to thank you very much for the new pump.
