A message from the community

Laminga community wishes to thank Lifewater Canada/Nigeria for providing water for our community. May God bless you. Mai Angwan Laminga Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa State

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Laminga is in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. During dry seasons, the town experiences a sharp drop in the groundwater table, which results in Laminga's shallow hand-dug wells drying up. Nearby creeks also slow to a trickle. Residents could draw water from deeply drilled wells in their community, but they haven't been working after the hand pumps on them failed. Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, we visited Laminga and repaired the pumps (including this one) so safe and accessible water is available to everyone again even during the dry seasons. The community has peace of mind and truly safe, dependable water.
