Dear Sir: We would like to express our grateful appreciation to your excellent field crew for the work they did and the presentations that were mde to the 2 villages of Pelilewe and Demeta. The works was done quickly and everyone gave god praise and thanks for the new wells. The wells were turned over to the communities for their use and car. Demeta Town had tried on many occassions to have a proper well put in but had no success. They had given up hope of having a good well, and now are very grateful to have this dream fulfilled. Those members of the community who have taken on the responsibility of caretaker and maintenance of these wells are proud to have been chosen for this task. With grateful thanks |

Project Summary |
||||||||||||||||||
Demeta is a very large town that is highly populated with mainly women and children. The road that heads to Pelilewe passes through Demeta . The Town has more than 40 houses. Their source of drinking water was from a creek and an opened hand dug well near by the town. Their new pump is situated on top a slopping hill about 35 ft away from the hand dug well. The community made significant contribution to the drilling project, providing building materials, working alongside the drill team, providing food and lodging for L-Linc workers and arranging for a survey of the property where the well was to be drilled. |
