Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Ibwa community has been one of the most receptive communities so far. In fact, we are commencing out toilet projects from here as matter of reward for their very cooperative attitude. This community has a number of electric powered wells which typically are abandoned due to lack of power supply or broken generators. Three of such wells were converted to Hand pump. Additional two with broken handpumps were also repaired. The community head practically begged that we dismantle all the electrical installations as there were of no use to them. For a community, that crowded around 2 wells while those 5 (now fixed) remained mere holes in the ground, we have been treated like celebrities. They freely boiled yam and gave us soda while work was going on. They are grateful and we are happy that they are now happy. |
