Situated within the heart of East Grand Bassa County, Dark Forest Community Q#7 is a very big community with more of than 2,500. Dark Forest Community Q#7 is well placed with an alluvial deposit of soil. The potable water coverage of the town is very lower as compared to their respective zones. In fact, since the well broke down great majority of the rural population fetched drinking water from unprotected sources (rivers; springs, ponds, rain water, developed pit near to river sand deposited and traditional hand dug wells). These water sources are not well protected from wild and domestic animals’ and human beings’ urine and faeces. People’s practice of open defecation accelerates the contamination of water sources. As a result, Dark Forest Community Q#7 urgently needed the pump repaired Lifewater carried out in the community. Now, the community is free from waterborne diseases. Further, the local population is thriving in their meagre business and schools. Locals are also saving the low income they used to spend to purchase water that was not event safe for drinking but further expose them to more water borne diseases.
