A message from the community

Dear Sir,

Every Citizen of this sector would like to offer their thanks.

This new well is an answer to many prayers and indeed we will not fail to offer up prayer for your entity that the good work you are doing may continue and multiply.

Water is life and we know this as many have suffered from the lack of good water to drink. Now those days are over and we rejoice with the angels for this new well.

Thank you so much

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Government Farm Quarter 6 is an extension of Quarter #5 and is located at the far end along the Marshall main road with a population of about 800, made up mostly of women and children. There are some basic social services like private schools and private clinics, but they all have common challenges; the lack of good water sources.

It has led to the loss of many lives either by running stomach or the risk of crossing the car road leading to car or motor bikes hit and run accidents. "This is the situation they have suffer from for years, but finally God answer prayer by sending the Lifewater team to help us out with the problem" said the community chair lady Sundayma Garmuyou.

The source of water for their consumption has been from an open hand dug well or from a creek that is found behind Quarter 5. The only open hand dug well in the area goes dry during the dry season; thus leading the locals back to buying water for those who can afford to buy plastic water or forcing others have to go long distances far from the community to other parts of Government Farm to get water This condition has caused several outbreaks of diseases. It has been difficult for women and school going kids as sometimes they are late for school in search of water.

But now they have all reason to thank God for as The Lifewater Health and Hygiene Team and driller moved in to drilled and installed a new hand pump for their community. The citizens extend thanks and appreciation to the lifewater Family and Sponsors for the good work done for them.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
