Duazon Main Town (Block B)

Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, We heartily write this letter to appreciate you people for bringing a hand pump in our town. In the past we lacked drinking water. We say a very big thanks to you and we pray to see you again. Thankfully yours, May Bauyourgar & The People of Duazon Town

Duazon Main Town Block B is located beside Block A along the Monrovia/Robert International Airport highway. This area is flat and sandy which always floods with sea water from the overflowing water bands, contaminating the hand dug wells which have been the only source of water. The land is not suitable for growing food, so the people make their living with fishing and petty trade. The Health and Hygiene team conducted a workshop on September 13,2019 teaching how to keep and maintain a clean environment to protect and provide a healthy life. The new well with hand pump was installed and completed on November 26, 2019 and safe water is flowing, giving health & hope to the people of Duazon Main Town Block B. The people here recognize the importance of this pump and pledged to protect the pump and repair any issues to keep it working for their children's children. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
