Dear Lifewater & Sponsor, On behalf of the members of Quarter#5 the community we extend to you our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for providing us with a hand pump & well. We can now because of your hard work and dedicated services enjoy the gift of safe drinking water. Let God continue to bless you all! Sincerely yours, James T. Kolleh, Town Chief
Brown's Town Q#5 is located at the center of Brown town, along the road leading to the only public elementary school in the area, which is about 5 minutes walk away from the site. Both the students and entire neighborhood have been facing this difficult water situation for over a decade. Needless to say everyone was very grateful when they saw the Lifewater team coming to their aid. Water borne diseases like running stomach or diarrheal and other water related diseases were common among the people, posing frequent serious health disasters on the locals. The Lifewater H and H Team conducted a Workshop training to educate the people on how to purify their water, keep their new well in good working order as well as understanding the importance of maintaining a clean environment always. This community has about 830 people dwelling in it. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
