When the well in Kasiwindi community in Kisumu county was dormant, the residents collected water from unsafe sources such as swamps and rivers. The unsafe sources of water were the only accessible ones after the hand pump on the village well stopped working. However, Lifewater Canada repaired the broken hand pump, making clean and safe drinking water easily accessible to all in Kasiwindi community.
