A message from the community
Having a nearby working hand pump is a big blessing to us as we don't have to collect water from sources far from home. We thank you for saving us from walking long distances to collect water. We are grateful for the repair of our broken hand pump. ---Community Leaders

Women and girls from Folobia village would make long trips to collect water for their households after their nearby hand pump stopped working. Because women would balance heavy loads of water on their head or back, sometimes they would end up suffering from physical injuries. Things are much better now since Lifewater Canada funded the repair of the hand pump. Women and girls are happy to collect water from a well much closer to their homes.
