On behalf of Nguni Boys Secondary School, we express our gratitude to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya for drilling a borehole in our school hence enabling us access clean water within the school. Thank and may God bless you. ---School Leaders
Nguni Boys’ Boarding Secondary school in Kenya's Mwingi Central Constituency, Kitui County has a population of three hundred and seventy students. These students live in school for three months before breaking for holidays. Due to water scarcity, the school ran its activities using water pumped from a river. Pumping the water from the river to the school would cost the institution about a minimum of forty-three Canadian Dollars weekly. Lifewater Canada in partnership with Lifewater RESCUE Kenya recently drilled a borehole and installed a new handpump to ease the accessibility of clean and safe water for the students and also cut expenses of the school administration. Thanks to the donors, the students of Nguni Boys can now access clean and safe drinking water in the school. Because of the new well, the school is saving at least forty-three CAD that is now channelling into improving the students' diet.
