A message from the community

On behalf of Ombaka Primary School community, I thank Lifewater and Stada Kenya for the repair of our school hand pumps. Our students are enjoying clean water from the school well. ---School Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Children began missing classes and women began missing income-earning time after the hand pump on Ombaka Primary School’s well stopped working and they had to go out in search of water. The only available source was a dirty river about six kilometres away. The walk to and from this source was time-consuming and tiring. And sadly, the water brought home to families was dirty so it caused children and adults to become sick with diarrhea or other illnesses. But recently, Lifewater and Stada Kenya visited Ombaka Primary School and, thanks to our donors, repaired the broken well's hand pump. The grateful community has safe water again.
