A message from the community

On behalf of the school and community, we take this opportunity to express our appreciation for rehabilitating our borehole which broke down. We assure you that we will take good care of our hand pump. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Children began missing classes and women began missing income-earning time after the hand pump on Onjiko Kobongo School ’s well stopped working and they had to go out in search of water. The only available source was a dirty river about three kilometres away. The walk to and from this source was time-consuming and tiring. And sadly, the water brought home to families was dirty so it caused children and adults to become sick with diarrhea or other illnesses. But recently, Lifewater visited Onjiko Kobongo School and, thanks to our donors, repaired the broken-down well. The grateful community has safe water again.
