A message from the community

Water is back and we are all happy, all thanks to hand pump repair team from Stada Kenya who stopped by to fix our broken hand pump. We thank you all for your support. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The only source of safe water for children and adults living in Nyangande Konyango is their local well. So when the well's hand pump failed, everyone had to walk several kilometres to the nearest alternate source. The time needed for these trips at least once each day kept parents from income-earning opportunities and kept children from school. Lifewater donors brought hope back to the community by enabling us to repair the broken hand pump, rehabilitate the well, and restore the flow of safe, easily accessible water.
