A message from the community

We, the Masogo Kanyamawa community, are so grateful to Stada organization and Lifewater for the repair of our communal hand pump. It feels good to have clean and safe water. Thanks lots. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

When the hand pump on their only water well failed three years ago, everyone in Masogo Kanyamawa had to begin drinking from the nearest river. Getting to and from the river ate up energy and time for the women and children doing most of the water-gathering. Women missed out on time needed to care for their families and earn income. Children missed out on time in school. And sadly, the water they brought home was contaminated – leaving young and old at risk of diarrheal diseases. But through the generous support of our donors, Lifewater and Stada Kenya have restored Masogo Kanyamawa’s access to safe water by repairing the community's broken hand pump.
