A message from the community

Walakor Community Q1 is grateful to Lifewater Canada for the repair of our communal hand pump. We are happy to have good water again in our community. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Walakor Community Q1's well was a reliable source of safe water for about 500 people -- until the well's hand-powered pump failed two weeks ago. Then residents were forced to get water from rivers and other unsafe sources that put every child and adult at risk of contracting diarrheal diseases. But recently, through the generosity of Lifewater Canada donors, we repaired the broken pump so everyone in Walakor Community Q1 has safe water again.
