Sullu V is a lively community located in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State. The community’s hand-pump borehole broke down, and for months the people were left without a reliable water source. Women and children walked long distances to fetch water from open ponds and small hand-dug wells. During our visit to the community, we repaired the broken borehole. Today, safe water has returned; bringing great relief and celebration. Families now enjoy safe water close to home, and health conditions have greatly improved. With more time and strength, parents can focus on their farms, and children attend school regularly without worry. The people of Sullu VI are very thankful to Lifewater for remembering their community and for the timely help that has restored struggles with ease and abundance.
