Sullu IV is a modest farming community located within Gurara Local Government, Niger State. For a long time, the community’s only water source, a borehole, fell into disrepair, leaving residents to depend on unsafe water from streams and stagnant ponds. The water found from these sources were often unsafe, causing illnesses like typhoid and diarrhea, especially among children. When our repair team stepped in to assist the people of Sullu IV, and the community welcomed us with great hope. After assessing the damages, we repaired the hand pump. With safe water flowing again, Sullu IV has experienced a remarkable transformation. Families now fetch safe water within minutes, health conditions have improved. The people of Sullu IV express deep gratitude to Lifewater for given them the most precious gift of safe water, good health and renewed hope for a better tomorrow.
