We the elders and the members of Bujapi community, write to appreciate Lifewater organization for the well-being of repaired borehole for the people including the aged women and widows. We want to specially thank you for the borehole project gifted to the community in its town. Please accept the high regards from all of us. Yours faithfully, Buhari Usman
Bujapi is a peaceful farming settlement in Paikoro Local Government, Niger State. The people sustain themselves primarily through farming and market activities. For months, life in Bujapi was overshadowed by one major challenge: lack of safe water. The community's borehole stopped working and remained unrepaired for months after years of use. Without it, residents were forced to depend on open ponds and streams far from the community that were frequently contaminated, especially during rainy season. The water was often brown and unsafe, leading to frequent cases of diarrhea, typhoid, and other waterborne diseases. We repaired the broken borehole to ensure consistent access to safe water. The entire community gathered around the site, cheering as water began to flow freely for the first time in many months. Today, Bujapi has been transformed. The days of long treks and waterborne diseases are gone. Families now enjoy safe water within their reach, and the community feels healthier and happier. With grateful hearts, the people of Bujapi thank Lifewater for this life-changing gift that has improved the health and productivity of their community.
