Kutachakpa is a small but vibrant farming community in Paikoro Local Government, Niger State. Most of the residents are peasant farmers. Access to safe water became the community's greatest struggle after the borehole stopped working and remained unrepaired for months. Villagers were forced to depend on ponds that also served as watering points for cattle. The water was visibly dirty, and many people, especially children, suffered from typhoid and diarrhea. Women spent long hours trekking to fetch water, often returning tired and late for their farming or trading activities. When Lifewater stepped in, the whole community gathered to watch in utmost joy. Damaged parts were replaced, and safe water was restored to Kutachakpa Community. Since the repair, Kutachakpa has experienced a remarkable transformation. Safe water now flows freely, and the long, exhausting trips to the stream have ended. Families are healthier, and the community feels alive again. The community is deeply thankful to Lifewater for restoring the gift of safe water.
