Musha II is a rural community in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, where farming is a daily activity. The only borehole supplying safe water got damaged due to lack of proper maintenance, leaving the community in hardship. Women and children walked long distances for water, sometimes returning with dirty water that caused illness. Hand-dug wells in the community didn't retain safe water long, making life more difficult. Children sometimes missed school or had to fetch water before going. After Lifewater rehabilitated the borehole, community members can now fetch safe water without leaving the village. Cases of waterborne illness have dropped, and women have more hours for farming and household work instead of exhausting walks to search for water. The borehole rehabilitation has brightened the faces of villagers with joy and gratitude. The people will never forget Lifewater's kindness.
