The people of Dama have been struggling to access clean water. They travel long distances from the community to fetch water. Meanwhile, the well we have is not yielding enough water and its get dry during the season. However, the people of Kopa community is no longer going through this suffering anymore. God bless you greatly. Yours faithfully, Isah 09026464352

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Kopa is a peaceful rural community located in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State. The people of Kopa are mostly farmers, growing maize, millet, and vegetables to sustain their families. But for several months, the community struggled under the weight of a water scarcity. Their only borehole broke down, and life became difficult. With no access to safe water, residents were forced to rely on open wells and a nearby stream. These sources were unreliable and imposes danger to the villagers. frogs, insects, and even dead animals were often found floating in the water. The smell was unbearable, but the people had no choice but to fetched and drank from it. Children fell ill frequently, and the little income families earned from farming was swallowed up by the cost of medicine. When Lifewater heard about the situation, help came quickly for the villagers. the team rehabilitated the broken borehole, constructed a better pad, and safe water began to flow once again. Kopa is a different place today. Safe water flows freely, and the health of the children has improved. Mothers are relieved as they can now access safe water for cooking, drinking and doing other chores, the entire community feels renewed. The people of Kopa are deeply thankful. They pray for everyone who made this possible, asking for Gods blessings on those who remembered them in their time of need.
