A nearby river was the only source of water easily available to the residents of Osieko community, after the hand pump on their well stopped working. The villagers would often complain of stomach aches and diarrheal, diseases they suspect they caught from drinking dirty water from the river. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada funded the repair of the broken hand pump, so clean and safe drinking water is flowing in Osieko community.
