Laminga, a small and lively town in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, had always been a place of hardworking farmers and peaceful families. But things weren't always easy. For months, the town struggled without safe water. Residents were left with no option but to collect water from an old shallow hand-dug well. Fetching water became a daily struggle. Mothers woke as early as 4 a.m., walking long distances with heavy buckets. The water they returned with was often dirty, unsafe, and smelled bad, often with insects or dead animals floating in it. Children got sick. Families spent more on medicine than food, and daily life became stressful. When Lifewater came to Laminga, hope was restored. The team assessed the problem and rehabilitated the borehole with urgency and care. Today, joy has returned to Laminga. Women no longer spend hours searching for water. Children are healthier and in school. The people of Laminga say thank you to Lifewater and all who made this possible
