Chinka II

It is our joy that the entire Chinka 2 community writes to appreciate Lifewater for the rehabilitation of our hand pump borehole. When it was faulty, our women travels about 10km to look for water at the end of the day, they fall sick because of the stress. We are really happy and we thank Lifewater for the rescue. The Chinka II community, located within Ungwan Thomas in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, endured a prolonged and severe water shortage. Before Lifewater's intervention, women in the community had to trek long distances in search of water. This arduous task often meant that children regularly missed school to accompany their mothers, sacrificing their education for a basic necessity. The lack of safe water also led to a pervasive health crisis, with waterborne diseases such as cholera, stomach ulcers, and skin rashes becoming common concerns. With the rehabilitation, Chinka II's water crisis is finally over. Residents can now easily access clean, safe water without the grueling long-distance treks. The community is profoundly grateful for this life-changing intervention, praying for immense blessings upon the generous donors who made it possible.
