As per the subject, we the Kavisu community, parents, teachers, stakeholders and pupils really have appreciated the new latrine. We have really benefited a lot for the education on health and hygiene from your competent staff also. We promise to utilize the facility well and also kindly request if you have another project to consider our school also. Thank you in advance Daniel M. Tugu Head of Institution.
Kavisu Primary School in Mwingi’s Nguni region is one of the few schools in the region; it’s a no wonder the school’s population continues to increase in a largely sparsely populated area. While the school management is happy to receive students from far and wide yearning for education, they have also been concerned about the health of the students given the almost non-existent sanitation facilities such as latrines. To improve hygiene, sanitation and general health among students and the entire school population, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya constructed a four-door latrine in Kavisu Primary School. The latrine does not just provide proper sanitation for the students but also enhances privacy and dignity for them individually.
