Everyone in Kolang Kamaga community in Kisumu county would collect water for domestic use from a river, this was out of necessisty since the privilege of choice was taken away from them when the hand pump on their well stopped working, making the unsafe river the only accessible source of water. However, Our donors funded the repair of the broken hand pump, thus making clean water from the well easily accessible, and granting the residents a safe choice of drinking from a clean source of water, the village well.
