Hoping that you are fine. We Decese Community are much grateful for installing a borehole in our area. This will enable us to fetch water nearby and it will save time. It will also shorten the distance which will enable us to do other activities. Our lives has changed fully. Thanks a lot, and may God bless you. Yours sincerely, Timothy Muvengei
People living in Dicese village in Kenya’s Mwingi region have never known a constant clean source of water. Shortage of clean and safe drinking water did not become a problem in the village in recent times; it has always been a problem. The residents relied on shallow wells in dry riverbeds to meet their water needs. Water from the wells was never safe for human consumption, but the sources were the only ones accessible. To save the community from the dire consequences of consuming unsafe water, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya partnered to drill a well in Dicese community and even installed a hand pump. The community’s new well has given residents access to clean and safe drinking and washing water.
