Tuesday 20 May 2025 Zone Gachette 3eme section Dear Donor, Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for assisting in the construction of a well in our community. This gift is genuinely transformative, and its impact will be felt for generations to come. Prior to this, we encountered numerous challenges related to accessing clean and safe water. We had to depend on distant and often contaminated sources of water, which significantly impacted on our health. We suffered from waterborne diseases, our children struggled to concentrate on their education, our nutrition was poor, and we lacked energy. Thanks to your support, the incidence of illness is decreasing, we now have a reliable source of water, the children attend school regularly, our hygiene practices have improved, and our nutrition has enhanced. We are exceptionally grateful for altering the trajectory of our lives. The community of Zone Gachette 3eme section.

Around 600 community members will use this well for water. Previously people would walk 45 minutes away to the nearest well a few times a day for water. One member was supplementing that water with purchased water, at a cost of 250 Goudes a week for his 3 member household.
