Justus Ondola, a community member in SDA Korowe Church community in Kenya’s Kisumu County says that he had hope that one day their community will no longer suffer from the effects of consuming unsafe water. As years went by, Justus’ hope dwindled because the sources of water in the community started drying up, even though these sources were not clean sources, they were all the community had at the time. “If what was available to us started going away, how would we even get to have what was a distant dream,” says Justus. What was a distant dream to this community became an instant yet a beautiful reality, when Lifewater Canada, after receiving calls for help from SDA Korowe Church community, swiftly responded by funding the drilling of a new well, and installing a hand pump. “We feel overwhelmed by gratitude because of the blessing of our well for we can now easily enjoy uninterrupted flow of clean water. Our community is happy and thankful for you,” says Justus.
