A message from the community

Nestled within the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the community of Takalafiya Fulani II endured a significant struggle to access water for their daily needs, forcing them to rely on unsafe sources that posed a constant threat to their health. The children were particularly vulnerable, frequently falling ill due to waterborne diseases. As Baba MaiAngwan, a leader in Takalafiya Fulani II, recounts with deep appreciation: "My name is Baba MaiAngwan, Takalafiya Fulani II. The community struggled to find water for their daily needs, relying on unsafe sources that put our health at constant risk. Our children, especially, bore the brunt of the crisis, with many falling ill due to waterborne diseases. Lifewater’s team arrived as a beacon of hope.
