Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Located within the Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the community of Kamewa Mayo faced a significant hardship due to the lack of clean and safe drinking water. The reliance on a dirty river and the financial burden of purchasing water created a challenging environment for the residents, especially during a period of economic difficulty. As Samuel Audu, a resident of Kamewa Mayo, recounts with immense gratitude: "My name is Samuel Audu, I reside here in Kamewa Mayo. I am so delighted to have witnessed this great and wonderful help coming from Lifewater Nigeria to Kamewa Mayo community, saving us from the pain of having no clean and safe water to drink and make use of. We lack clean water here in our community. We buy water for our daily needs, which cost us a lot during the economic meltdown we are currently experiencing. The water from a nearby river is so dirty and unsafe for use." The financial strain of purchasing water, coupled with the health risks associated with using the dirty river water, created a significant burden on the community, exacerbating the challenges of the economic downturn. However, the intervention of Lifewater brought immense relief and joy to Kamewa Mayo. By providing a solution to their lack of clean and safe water, Lifewater alleviated their financial burden and protected them from the health risks associated with the river water. "Big thank you to everyone who has supported this project and made it a reality today. It is my prayer that God continue to provide more finance for the organization. Thank you for coming to put joy and laughter on our faces," Samuel Audu expresses with deep appreciation. For Kamewa Mayo, Lifewater's wonderful help has not only provided a vital resource but has also brought financial relief, improved health prospects, and filled the community with joy and laughter.
