Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)
The people of Ogongo community would get clean drinking water from the rains, but during the dry season, the community members would haul water from the nearby rivers to their homes for drinking and other household activities. This led to poor health condition among residents. This was after the hand pump on their well stopped working, making easy access to clean water impossible. Recently, Lifewater and Stada Kenya visited the village and repaired the broken hand pump. The people of Ogongo are happy to get clean and safe water from the village well.
