My name is Umar Abdulahi, I am from Sheshimandiko village. We appreciate Lifewater's support for rehabilitating the community's damaged borehole. As a result of the borehole getting damaged, our women and girls spent hours fetching water from distant sources. lack of water had limited crop production within the community making the community face hunger strike. With the restoration of the borehole, we can irrigate our fields, resulting in better crop yields. This not only provided food security for our families but also increased income through surplus produce sold at the market. The rehabilitation of our borehole has also empowered our women and girls in our community, freeing them from the burden of water collection and enabling them to pursue education and other activities that improve their lives.
