My name is Baba Chechengi, and I am a resident of Abukogi community. My community faced severe water scarcity after our borehole broke down. We had to drink contaminated water from a nearby stream, leading to widespread cases of waterborne diseases. Our children and women were always burdened with the responsibility of trekking long distances in search of water. This affected our children's academic performance and made our women always feel exhausted. The rehabilitation of our borehole has transformed the health and wellbeing of our community, providing clean water that has reduced the incidence of waterborne diseases, and our children's performance in school has improved, not forgetting how free and energetic our women feel now. Thank you, Lifewater, for taking away our worst burdens and fears. We are so grateful for your kind gesture and support toward Abukogi community.
