Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Ilenyi community in Mwingi’s Kivou ward has a well that supplies clean and safe drinking and washing water to more than 300 residents. But for years, the residents were forced to collect water from the well in a manner that contaminated the well’s water, after the well’s hand pump stopped. Either that or they were forced to walk for several kilometers to the nearby dry riverbed to collect water from the wells. Thankfully, Lifewater Canada and Lifewater RESCUE Kenya visited the village and repaired the broken hand pump, so clean and safe drinking and washing water is now flowing in Ilenyi community.
