A message from the community |

This is to sincerely appreciate the work of rehabilitation of water pump done by your Liewater Canada and Stada Kenya. The pump which serves a population of one thousand two hundred learners at Ugwe Primary School and the community had several breakdowns before you intervened. Thank you and be blessed. ---School Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Children began missing classes and women began missing income-earning time after the hand pumps on the well serving Ugwe Primary School stopped working and everyone had to go out in search of water. The only available source was a river three kilometres away. The walk to and from this source was time-consuming and tiring. And sadly, the water brought back was dirty so it caused young and old to become sick with diarrhea or other illnesses. But recently, Lifewater and Stada Kenya, visited Ugwe Primary School and, thanks to our donors, rehabilitated the well and replacing its broken hand pump. The grateful community has safe water again. |
