Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

In 2013, Lifewater drilled a well in Swaggar Island Block D2. Recently, the well's hand pump broke down and was unusable for six weeks. During this time, the residents (mostly women and children) went back to fetching water from an open, hand-dug well, which exposed them to the risk of contracting water borne diseases. Some would buy water from local vendors but it is quite expensive.

Recently, Lifewater repaired the pump and replaced the broken seals. Now safe water is flowing again, much to the relief of residents. They are thankful to Lifewater and our donors for coming to their aid and restoring their well.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
