From the community’s leaders

This community is situated around the Buchanan Market at the Monrovia junction in Buchanan City. It is very large and the main trading centre for people coming from the southeastern region of Liberia. The pressure on this well and hand pump comes from not only the community dwellers but also travellers who stop to drink water. As a result, the pump broke and was down for almost a month before the repair team could come. 

The only source of water for the people after the pump failed was open hand-dug wells and water from vendors. After the Lifewater team visited and repaired their broken pump, all of the people were happy again and gave thanks to the Lifewater family for the good work and prayed for the Lord’s  blessing over them.
