Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
LPRC Community is located along the Somalia Drive, now Japan freeway -- one of Liberia’s industrial zones. It is primarily a squatter-inhabited community. Its water well was drilled in 2014 and serves over 2,000 people -- mostly women and children. The well caretaker, Mr. Koned, has been very hard-working and responsible with the upkeep of this well. As a result, the longest time it has broken down is only for two days. Mr. Koned makes efforts to call the Lifewater office for repairs. Due to the number of persons using the well, the most common problem experienced is a broken seal. Upon the Lifewater team's completion of the repair work on the well, Mr. Koned extended many thanks to Lifewater. Community leaders thanked Lifewater and its partners for restoring their hope and reducing their suffering for water. |
