A message from the community

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

This town is situated within compound four of Grand Bassa County. The dwellers of Water and Sewer practice farming as a means of survival. The lack of alternative income sources, high population pressure, low social and economic service and improper utilization of natural resources like land and water have caused high rates of poverty in the town.

Therefore, Lifewater’s timely intervention in the community assured equality principles by promoting the active participation and inclusion of all members and taking into account accessibility, and gender to achieve sustainable and lasting impacts. As such, the safe water supply coverage of the community increased respectively. At the same time, total elapsed time to fetch water for rural women and girls was reduced from 3-4 hours to 90 seconds after the pump repair. The pump technician also received knowledge.

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
