A message from the community

The Assembly of God Church is a community located along the Bushrod Island Montserrado belt. It is a growing community (named after a local church) with a large population of women and children. As a result, the need of safe drinking water is always a serious problem for the local dwellers.

"When this pump (on our water well) spoiled, we felt as if all hope was lost," Matherline, a local female leader of the community, said during Lifewater's pump repair work.

One could see the great excitement and joy on the faces of surrounding community dwellers that stood astonished, watching Lifewater team quickly repair their pump.

"Lifewater has totally restored our hope," a man standing by said as water quickly rushed out of the repaired pump.

When Lifewater left the community, in came letters of appreciation from the community.

"We are so happy that our pump is finally repair -- thank you Lifewater," wrote the community chairman.

Not only has the community returned to drinking safe water, but locals are staying safe and free from waterborne diseases. Additionally, school girls and boys are also not missing out on their school activities (to fetch water from far away).
