Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Everyone, including young children living and learning at St. Kogembo Lucky Kids School, would drink and wash from the river. The nearby river was the only known source of water in the area. Even though the parents and teachers were aware that the frequent cases of diarrhea and other related diseases amongst the children were caused by drinking from the river, they could not afford a better plan. Thanks to Lifewater Canada who, through the generous support of Lifewater Canada donors, drilled a new well and installed a new hand pump in St. Kogembo Lucky Kids school. The students and the whole community are enjoying clean and safe drinking water from the school well. |
