Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Lifewater drilled a well in New Cotton Tree in 2013 that met the safe water needs of hundreds of residents -- many of them retired employees of the Firestone rubber plantation -- until very recently. That's when the well's hand-powered pump failed and forced people to begin relying on their old water sources, including open hand-dug wells. Most of these sources are contaminated so they put people at risk of contracting waterborne illnesses.

Thanks to our donors, Lifewater has visited New Cotton Tree and repaired the broken pump. Now safe water is available to everyone again. Residents expressed their thanks and praise: "God bless you call!"

Every $1 you give provides a child with safe water for a year!
