A message from the community |
On behalf of our community, we appreciate Lifewater for the repair and chlorination of our hand pump. Thank you! You have helped us access safe drinking water again. -- Marie Telo, Town Chief |
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
Lifewater drilled a well in Momoh Town in 2012. It met the community's safe water needs for a decade before the well's hand-powered pump failed three weeks ago. That forced residents to go back to drinking from contaminated sources such as creeks and open hand-dug wells. This, in turn, led to health challenges such as diarrhea, stomach pains, and skin rashes. But very recently, Lifewater visited Momoh Town, repaired the pump, and restored the flow of safe water. Residents told us: "Thank you Lifewater family and sponsors for all the support accorded to us. God bless you all."
