A message from the community

We wish to highly show great thanks and appreciation to Lifewater Canada and Lifewater Nigeria for doing the very remarkable work of repairing the pump on the borehole in our community.

Words are not enough to express our gratitude for this great work. But we pray that God almighty, who is the ultimate rewarder, will reward and bless the work of your hands in the mighty name of Jesus.

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Communities around the famous Nigerian Prison in Kuje are not spared the scourge of poor water supplies, due to hand pumps on wells inevitably breaking down. While the pumps remain broken, people resort to open hand-dug wells and streams. The risk of waterborne disease is always there.

Lifewater’s repair team visited the area, looking for broken hand pumps and found two, including this one. Minor repairs were carried out and the communities were happy to have working pumps again, within close proximity. We are thankful to God for the opportunity to make an impact in people’s lives.
