A message from the community

Thank you very so much for taking the time to come and repair our pump. We pray to almighty God that he will strengthen you.

Hughes Nyanteans, Community Leader

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Own Your Own Community is along the Liberia Agriculture Company (LAC) Road from Buchanan City in Grand Bassa County. Most of the citizens began living there after the company moved them and expanded its palm farm onto their old land. Now they own their own land.

The people depend on petty trading to sustain their families. The hand pump on their water well was down due to a broken rod and seal for the past three weeks. They had to go to another community’s hand-dug wells to draw water for their homes because there is no hand-dug well in their community. This was a serious danger for their health.  The repair team visited the place recently and repaired the spoiled hand pump. The entire leadership and all the villagers prayed thanks to God and to the team for coming to restore their safe drinking water.
