Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
Fanti Town Q1 is along Liberia’s sea coast, in upper Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. It Is densely populated. The majority of the locals depend on the sea for their livelihood. Most of them are fishermen, while do some petty trading business. They face a lot of life-threatening challenges, like the lack of safe drinking water. There is one well for over 1,300 residents. When it broke down, only a few people could afford to buy water. The rest had to drink unsafe water. Lifewater made the people in Fanti Town free and safe from diarrhea and waterborne diseases by repairing their hand pump for them.
Repair needed: Replace worn seals and broken pump rods |
