In Water And Sewer Community Q#4, signs of poverty are visible in all shapes and forms. As a result, many locals could not afford safe drinking water when their pump failed.

The lack of safe drinking water in the town presented many challenges. Since there were not another alternative safe drinking water source anywhere around the town, every morning and afternoon, women and children left their homes to walk to nearby communities to fetch water from the only functioning hand-dug well.

Now, thanks to Lifewater repairing the local hand pump, the spread of water bone diseases and COVID transmission between communities has been limited, thus alleviating the high medical burden imposed on community dwellers. Children are returning to schools, while their parents are saving the purchase of water.
