A message from the community |
Dear Sponsor, On behalf of Flower Mill, we say thank you to the Lifewater drilling team for repairing our hand pump. We are grateful for the gift. Truly yours, Joseph Ballah Community Chairman |
Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |
Flower Mill Q3 community is in the same vicinity as the other two quarters of Flower Mill, within the county of Grand Bassa. It is populated with over 1,500 inhabitants. Flower Mill Q3 had a pressing need for their pump to be repaired, which was beyond what could be done by their community. ‘‘We usually have water in our pump all year round but since our pump spoiled, we now travel a long distance for water," the locals said. After the pump broke down, most community dwellers in their search for safe drinking walked miles, frequently leaving children late for school and women abandoning their businesses just to get a bucket of water. Now that Lifewater repaired the pump, life has returned to normal. Walking through the community, anyone can visibly sense the relief that the Lifewater repair team brought. Many community dwellers outwardly expressed their sincere gratitude. |
